Reimagining time through place.
We do not build to fill space. We build to give time its proper shape.Naguib Sawiris · Founder & Chairman
One idea, expressed in many places.
ORA was founded in 2016 by Naguib Sawiris with a singular commitment: to imagine and deliver developments whose value compounds quietly over decades — the way a fine watch keeps faith with time.
Across Egypt, the UAE, Iraq, Pakistan, Cyprus, Greece, and Grenada, that commitment has taken shape in master-planned communities, coastal sanctuaries, and city-scale destinations. Each is grounded in geometry, restraint, and the unhurried hospitality of well-designed public space.
We work with architects, landscape designers, and master-planners who share our preference for clarity over decoration. Our buildings are not the show; the life that happens around them is.
Four ideas that shape everything we build.
Geometry & Restraint
Designs grounded in proportion, light, and the quiet authority of simple forms — never noise, never decoration for its own sake.
Community First
Every master plan begins with the public realm — the walks, the gathering places, the gardens — before a single residence is drawn.
Time-Tested Value
We build assets that age well. Materials, infrastructure, and detailing are chosen for the second and third generation as much as the first.
Local, Then Global
Each destination is rooted in its place — its climate, its culture, its rhythm — while drawing on the standards of an international group.

With passion we build, with commitment we develop, and with heart we deliver.Naguib Sawiris · Founder, ORA Developers Holding
Founded in 2016, ORA was envisioned as a multinational developer that treats every destination as a complicated luxury timepiece — engineered for harmony, designed for everyday joy.
From New Cairo to the North Coast, our work spans residential quarters, coastal resorts and considered urban districts across Egypt, the UAE, Iraq and beyond.

A decade of building, country by country.
Naguib Sawiris establishes ORA Developers with the long-term ambition of building across multiple geographies.
ZED Sheikh Zayed launches in west Cairo — the group's first integrated mixed-use destination.
Silversands launches on Egypt's North Coast, introducing the group's first beachfront destination.
Projects underway in Pakistan, Cyprus, and the UAE — the group becomes operational across four continents.
15+ communities, 50,000+ residents, and a unified group identity reimagining time for the next decade.

Built for the long arc.
Every ORA development integrates passive design, efficient infrastructure, and ecological care from the master-plan onward — not as added features, but as the starting position. Through the Sawiris Foundation and local partnerships, our corporate social responsibility extends that long-term view to the communities around us — in education, employment, and care.
Energy-conscious design
Solar integration, high-performance envelopes, and shading strategies tuned to each climate.
Water as infrastructure
Greywater reuse, drought-tolerant landscape, and lagoon ecosystems engineered for biodiversity.
Mobility & walkability
Master-plans prioritize the pedestrian — 15-minute community standards, generous shade, narrow vehicle corridors.
Community well-being
Sports clubs, cultural venues, and primary schools integrated into the original master-plan, not retrofitted.
